Salary: $16.57 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description
NATURE OF WORK: Under the supervision of the Office Supervisor, the Bilingual Community Health Outreach Worker performs outreach activities for the Cancer Screening Services Program. Activities include attending health fairs, community events, health care provider visits, health presentations and other outreach. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting staff with interpreting services for program clients and staff; assisting the secretarial staff with answering phones, handling mail, making appointments, and contacting clients for enrollment and follow-up.
Required to have a personal vehicle available for use with mileage reimbursement provided per Department of Health policies and will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland. May require occasional evening and weekend assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a state high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Ability to verbally communicate fluently, in both English and Spanish. Some familiarity with medical terminology preferred but not required.
