RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -The Renown Health Board of Trustees on Thursday fired Dr. Tony Slonim as president and chief executive officer of Renown Health, the organization announced in a statement.
“Following the completion of a thorough investigation of concerns raised to the Board of Directors, the Board determined that Renown Health, its patients and staff required new leadership,” Renown Health said in a statement. “Accordingly, Dr. Slonim has been terminated with cause as CEO of Renown Health.”
Other details were not immediately available. Slonim could not be reached for comment and his Twitter account has been disabled. He went to work for Renown in 2014.
Dr. Thomas R. Graf, Renown’s chief clinical and quality officer, will serve as interim CEO. Chief Operating Officer Sy Johnson will also work as interim president.
‘I have complete faith in Dr. Tom Graf and Sy Johnson, and their senior leadership teams, who already oversee health care system operations, and will help ensure a smooth transition,” Health Board Trustee Adam Kramer said.
