Police say someone was shot and critically injured in central Auckland last night.

They say gunshots were fired at an address in Wellesley Street West, a busy part of the central city.
It happened at about 11.15pm, and shortly afterwards, someone turned up at hospital with gunshot wounds.
They are in a critical condition, but stable.
Police are at the scene this morning, and asking for assistance from anyone who can help find the offenders.
