PHOENIX — Mountainside Fitness announced this week plans to open a new location in Avondale.
The locally-owned fitness center said in a press release that construction is set to begin on its 20th facility, which will be located at Park 10 near 100th Avenue and McDowell Road.
“The new location comes at a time when growth is exploding in the West Valley and we are proud to be joining a great line-up of other retailers and entertainment venues at Park 10,” Craig Cote, CEO of Mountainside Fitness, said in the release.
Among the features of the 40,000-square-foot club are three group fitness studios, a tiered cardio platform, a strength floor with outside workout area, a large childcare area and a cafe, the company said.
People will also be able to enjoy locker rooms with sauna and steam rooms.
The company said its new club will be similar to the recently opened locations in east Mesa and Paradise Valley.
Mountainside Fitness joins other offerings at the mixed-use project scheduled to open later this year, including Portillo’s, Barrio Queen and Main Event, the company said.
The health club also has locations in Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix, Queen Creek Scottsdale, Surprise and Tempe.
