Recently, the topping-out ceremony of the main structure of the PK08 section of the CBD project in New Administrative Capital built by CSCEC in Egypt was held. Khaled Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities for National Projects and others attended the event.

Khaled Abbas conveyed Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Essam Sharaf’s care on the progress of the CBD project. He said, the CBD project is a landmark project symbolizing the friendship between China and Egypt. It is hoped that all parties in China and Egypt would continue to work hand in hand to ensure the construction of CBD is completed on time with all-out efforts. He expected to have more cooperation with CSCEC in the future.

The capping of the PK08 section witnesses the precious friendship between Chinese and Egyptian enterprises featuring unity, mutual assistance and joint endeavour, and also represents a new achievement of practical and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides.

The PK08 section is located in the central area of the CBD project and consists of two single buildings, C09 and C10, a sky corridor and a two-story podium. The project has 6 and 9 floors above ground respectively and 2 floors underground. The total construction area of the project is 139,400 square meters, of which C10 is a high-end hotel and C09 a serviced apartment.

The project has completed the construction of oversized concrete raft slabs, high-rise buildings structural frame, Y-shaped structure and other difficulties, creating a record of the fastest raft slab pouring in one hour, a record of the highest high supporting frame erection and the record of the earliest settlement time after pouring in the CBD project. The project fully utilized BIM technology to check pipeline collision and guide the pre-buried construction at the construction site, which has improved comprehensive design and work efficiency.
