Dozens of vendors and health care providers will help ensure the well-being of the community during the annual African American Health Expo, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, 2864 Mississippi Ave.
This year’s theme is “Your Health Matters.”
Open to the public, this free event addresses the need for education, early detection, prevention, treatment and access to community resources.
Health screenings, seminars, cooking demonstrations and workshops will be provided. There will be a Kid Zone and Senior Adult Corner, along with a mobile health clinic from Tarrant County Public Health. Food will be handed out while supplies last.
Health screenings are important parts of this weekend’s African American Health Expo.
