St. Vincent’s Hospital hosted its annual 5K Spring Sprint Saturday despite the rainy weather.
The run or walk supports the hospital’s work in helping those struggling with mental illness and addiction.
CEO Michael Spicer said the need for mental health support has grown even more in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic
“I think it shows that if you want to get out there and participate and exercise, it’s great for some of our patients…it’s great for the community. They come out, they support us, so it’s really a family affair,” Spicer said.
Over 200 people participated, including Harrison’s mayor.
