By now you’ve heard of the acronym CBD. A brief explanation is that it’s a extract from the cannabis sativa plant (another element of the plant is THC—you know, the “active ingredient” in cannabis). But CBD (or cannabidiol) has gained popularity for its medicinal benefits when it comes to pain management, without giving users the “high” that THC does. And now visitors to Vegas can reap the benefits of CBD with treatments at Caesars Entertainment’s spa facilities.
The new treatments were introduced last year at Spa at The Linq, Spa at Flamingo, The Spa at Harrah’s, Voie Spa & Salon at Paris, Reflections Spa at Planet Hollywood Resort and Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace, all of which use the CBD-infused Cause+Medic product line in treatments. Guests can book the 50- or 80-minute CBD Wellness Ritual Massage that will calm the body and mind while the CBD-infused oils will help provide relief from aches and pains.
You can also add on the CBD Pain Spot Treatment, which uses 400 milligrams of water-soluble CBD and other active botanicals that help target specific areas on the body and help relieve conditions like inflammation and arthritis. For more all-over-body relief, there’s also the 80-minute CBD Mud Wrap.
Tired, aching feet? Cramped hands? Try the CBD Lavender Manicure or Pedicure, which uses a powerful blend of 100 milligrams of broad-spectrum CBD, dead sea salt and lavender essential oil to provide relaxation and relief to the nervous system and aching joints. “Are you going to be cured? Probably not,” says Sparkle Drebert, spa & salon manager at The Linq and Harrah’s. “But do you feel relief? Absolutely. I’ve used Cause+Medic products myself after working out and I’ve been super sore. The next morning all my pain went away when it would normally linger. We’ve had customers get the treatments and they came back the next day and they’ve said, ‘Oh my god, this is the first time in five years that I have not been in pain and had to pop an Advil in the morning. What did you use? I have to have it.”’ All the Cause+Medic products used in the treatments are available for purchase at the spas.
