He appeared in Central Local Court on Thursday where he was refused bail to re-appear in June.
“A short time later, police executed a search warrant at a unit on George Street at Haymarket, locating and seizing 23kg of butanediol in 238 individual plastic bottles, electronic devices, and more than $100,000 cash,” police said in a statement.
Drugs and firearm squad commander Detective Superintendent John Watson said more arrests were possible.
“Law enforcement are aware consignments such as the ones seized originate from a range of countries and investigators continue to work with international agencies to target them,” he said.
