Kyogo Furuhashi has arguably been Celtic’s best signing in a long, long time and he was one of the best players in Scotland before picking up a long-term injury in December, which has kept him out of action since then. And it is safe to say that the fans will be hoping to see him back in action as soon as possible, as the Hoops head towards one of the toughest phases of their season.
Kyogo was originally injured in Celtic’s last Europa League group stage game against Real Betis. And to be honest, it was a mistake on the part of Ange Postecoglou to bring him on that day, with nothing riding on the result.
He would return later in the month despite not being 100 per cent and incredibly, scored a brace in the Scottish League Cup final against Hibernian to guide Celtic to the trophy.
Kyogo would pick up an injury just a week later though, in the last game before the winter break, and has been out of action since then. But, some interesting rumours are doing the rounds on social media now.
Massive Celtic rumour emerges about Kyogo’s fitness
Rumours have been doing the rounds today on social media that Kyogo has been running and sprinting at Lennoxtown. That would suggest that he is slowly but surely edging closer to fitness.
There have been suggestions that Kyogo could be fit enough to feature in a couple of weeks, which means that there is hope that he could face the Rangers in April.
It remains to be seen how things unfold in that regard but it must be said that Celtic must give Kyogo all the time that he needs to get fully fit before putting him back on the pitch. They cannot afford to see the Japanese star pick up another injury this season.
