Another holiday weekend is upon us, and though not everyone might have the luxury of having a day off, many people do. It’s always tough to know which holidays issue paid time off and for what companies. For instance, many major grocery stores and corporate chains are usually open all year round, while smaller stores might be closed for multiple holidays.

Is Planet Fitness closed Memorial Day Weekend 2022?

Memorial Day is this Monday, May 30, 2022. Your local Planet Fitness should follow its normal hours this whole weekend, and will even be open on Monday. However, locations may vary when it comes to opening late or closing early. While Holiday Shopping Hours confirms the gym will be open on the holiday this Monday, the company has advised in the past that those who are planning a gym session should call their location first just to be sure their hours aren’t affected.

Similar to this past Easter, each location could be different depending on what they decide.

That said, your local Planet Fitness should not be closed at all this weekend or on Memorial Day unless there’s another circumstance for them to shut down.

Other gym chains that are supposed to be open (at least for a few hours) on Memorial Day include LA Fitness, Crunch Fitness, and Equinox Fitness Club. But of course, we’d always recommend calling ahead of time before venturing out to your local gym on any holiday, including this Memorial Day.
