According to Noxolo Khumalo, who works in one of the shops on Church Street, the paving there was dug up by a team from the Msunduzi Municipality to fix something underneath, but they never returned to replace the paving once they were done with the repairs.
“We have approached the municipality countless times to ask them to fix the paving, but with no luck. They don’t do anything about this.
