Special Olympics Missouri will host its first Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday morning.
The event is free and open to the public. It will feature health screenings, prizes and refreshments.
The fair will feature 30 health vendor booths, including the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, Capital Region Medical Center, Cole County Health Department, Department of Health and Senior Services, Jefferson City Medical Group, Lincoln University, Missouri Coalition for Oral Health, Missouri Commission for Deaf & Hard of Hearing, Missouri Footcare, Planet Fitness, Special Needs Trust Program and St. Mary’s Hospital.
SOMO will host its Central Area Volleyball Tournament at the same time as the fair, which is to include raffles, games and refreshments.
The event will be 9 a.m.-noon at the SOMO Training for Life Campus, 305 Special Olympics Drive.
